DIVA STYLE DANCE
Danit, born in a small town in Israel, was born a true dancer at heart. She began dancing ballet at age 5 and performed in recitals as well as being featured in several Israeli television shows & commercials. Danit also participated in athletic activities such as basketball, handball and running.
She was even selected part of the Israeli Handball Team that represented Israel in youth league games in Europe. However, dancing was Danit’s true passion.
Danit is a master instructor, choreographer, performer and acclaimed workshop presenter who specializes in jazz funk, hip hop, latin jazz, ballroom, wedding dances, salsa, bachata and many more.
At an early age Danit joined the dance company “Sigi Nisan,” which performed on TV shows, stages, festivals and big musical productions throughout Israel and Europe. Her training included jazz, theatre jazz, hip hop and contemporary. Enrolled at Lady Davis, Danit earned her degree studying dance and choreography. She then joined the Israeli Defense Forces and still found a way in this environment to showcase her talents by singing and dancing during special events and award ceremonies. While in the IDF, Danit continued to be involved with the Sigi Nisan Dance Company. As her expertise grew, she began teaching Hip-Hop, Ballet, Modern and Ballroom classes to children and adults. She worked privately with famous TV actors, singers and other celebrities. She was selected to be part of the Main dancers at the Eurovision Song contest in 1999. The contest featured the video clip “Dror Yikra-Free” by singer Dana International, which aired internationally live from Jerusalem.
Danit was honored with a Diploma on special achievement on her work with the Israeli Defense Forces.
Her lifelong passion for dance brought her to New York City. She received a scholarship to continue her dance studies at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center where she had the opportunity to work with world renowned choreographers. Since arriving to New York, Danit participated in several dance companies namely, “Parparim Dance Ensemble” (2000-2006), “Stepping Out Latin Dance Company” (2000-2003), and “Piel Canela Dance Company” (2003-2009). She furthered her dance repertoire by adding Flamenco to her studies as she began working with Choreographer Victorio Korjhan.
In addition, Danit became a licensed Instructor in 2011 and a certified Aquatic Instructor in 2014. She was featured in live Master classes, Zin volumes recording and fundraisers. Danit taught in the greater Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties prior to relocating to New Jersey in 2016, where Danit continues to share her passion and love of dance to kids and adults. She teaches at various locations in Middlesex & Monmouth counties.
